- Drug Free Community Month Activity
Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your ChildrenTM is a national movement launched by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University in 2001 that promotes the parental engagement fostered during frequent family dinners as a simple, effective way to prevent substance abuse in kids and stay connected. Because teens still report that parents-not their peers or the media-have the biggest influence on their decision to stay drug-free1, the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley (ADACCV) in partnership with the members of the Concho Valley C.A.R.E.S. Coalition will recognize National Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your ChildrenTM on Monday, September 27, 2010. We ask that you try to make this a week long event. Pizza Hut, in San Angelo, TX, will help us celebrate this wonderful day by providing their Family Meal Deal for only $19.99! That is a $20 discount. The meal deal includes the following:
- 2 medium pizzas (up to 3 toppings of your choice or one of the specialty recipes)
- 4 dine-in drinks (or one 2 liter for delivery)
- 1 large order of breadsticks
